BzzAgent..CoverGirl Blast Flipstick

I have been accepted into the  CoverGirl Blast Flipstick bzzCampaign.  I am really excited.  The package included 3 full-sized COVERGIRL blastflipsticks

  1. Stunner: Bright pink and gold shades
  2. Vixen:  Burgundy and pearl pink shades
  3. Minx:  Deep brown and gold shades (the gold one was the one that scared me a little)

I have to admit, the colors scared me at first.  I don't know if I would wear some of them by themselves.  But when you blend them together, something amazing happens.  I have gotten so many compliments on my new lip colors.  Mostly cause they are different shades than I would wear.

It lasts a long time, and my lips don't feel dried out or super oily.  Will definitely purchase (when it's on sale of course).

Anyone tried it?  What's your favorite shade?

Just the Facts (from the BzzGuide)

  • Ultra blendable formula allows you to mix shades, just like a make-up artist
  • Dual ends let you create the current "ombre" trend on your lips!
  • Dual-sided stick features a creamy color on one end and a shimmery shade on the other
  • Created by expert make-up artist, and COVERGIRL Global Creative Design Director, Pat McGrath
  • 13 colorful, complementary and expertly matched shade duos
  • Moisturizing formula mixes perfectly without feeling heavy or dry
  • Available in most groceries, drug stores and major retailers
  • Suggested to retail for $8.49

Note: BzzAgent sent the Cover Girl blast flipstick  for me to try for free.  The opinions expressed here are mine and mine alone.

Bzz..Green Mountain Coffee

I have just been invited to a fabulous campaign.  Thanks to BzzAgent, I will be able to try amazing coffee.  I have been accepted into the Green Mountain coffee campaign.  Can you tell I am super excited?  I have tasted this coffee before and I have

As many of your know, I am a coffee LOVER (much to my husband's chagrin)...I am always trying out new coffees and flavors.  Look at my pantry and you'll notice that I have more coffee than food (not really, but it seems that way).

So in order for me to recommend this coffee (or not), I had to educate myself first.  Why does it matter if the company is "fair trade certified" or not?  Well, here are a few reasons, fair trade:
  • Helps farmers get a fair price for their beans
  • Improves conditions for its workers
  • Helps protect the environment
  • Supports community development with projects resulting in new schools, roads, health clinics and safer drinking water.
  • In the end, it gives us the consumer, a better cup of coffee all around.

The Scoop

Behind the Scenes
In celebration of Fair Trade Month this October, Green Mountain Coffee® has teamed up with acclaimed musicians Grace Potter and Michael Franti to take the pair to Fair Trade farming communities in Colombia and Sumatra. Visit the Green Mountain Coffee® Facebook page at Facebook.com/GreenMountainCoffee for a behind-the-scenes look at each trip, and be there for the journey as Grace and Michael learn about the impact Fair Trade has on farming communities (and why it results in a better cup of coffee for you).

Unlock Great Content
By watching the videos and taking part in Fair Trade Month, you'll have the chance to unlock Fair Trade Certified Green Mountain Coffee® samples and coupons, and be able to enter for a chance to win your very own trip to a Fair Trade source country.

Rock Out With Grace & Michael
Of course, it's not a celebration without a party, and there's no party without some great music. Visit the Green Mountain Coffee® Facebook page to view live concert streams in the coming weeks as Grace Potter rocks New York City with her stunning voice and Michael Franti revs up the crowd with his infectiously energetic performance.

Publix run 9-14

Ran to Publix real quick during lunch time. Wanted some fruit. Ao of course had to make a list. Cause why should you pay a couple of dollars for one thing when you can pay a few dollars for a lot of things. I paid $4.93 for what originally amounted to $30. This is what I got:
1 old orchard cherry juice
4 mama Francesca parm cheeses
1 Publix disinfecting wipes
4 boxes of south beach diets bars
1.35 lbs of plums
2 boxes Kellogg's frosted mini wheats
1 snickers candy bar (my hubby's favorite)

Quick CVS run

Made a quick trip out, needed milk. But being who I am, I had to find a way to get a deal. This is what I got:

1 gallon of milk
2 nail polishes
3 Nivea body washes
3 Unreal candy bars ( thanks bzzagent.com)

I didn't do too bad, spent a little over $9. (not bad considering the body wash was $4 each). I used a $5 gift card I got by surveying, a $3 CVS dollar, and a free and bogo coupon for unreal. I was excited about it.

Latest Publix run...love it!!!

I had my dear hubby run to Publix today for an amazing deal on soda. (we don't really drink it too much, but we entertain a lot).

He got 8 12-packs of Pepsi products (dr. Pepper, mt dew, etc), 2 bag of chips, orange juice, bananas, eggs, and my hair color. (it's a small order I know, I am making the big one for tomorrow). He spent a little less than $13, not bad.

We are now stocked and ready for a party, which apparently we are having on Monday. (gotta love husbands right?!?! 😖)

We have come full circle

It is 8:47 pm on Saturday and we are back home. We learned a few things today:

1. Florence, SC is not a very exciting town. Some nice all brick homes but that's about it.

2. Savannah, GA is a really cool place. Loved all the cobblestone roads a d old brick buildings. We tried going to Paula Deen's restaurant but it was packed. We walked around for a few hours. Very cool.

Regrets from our trip:
1. We did not eat pizza in New York city. We ate it twice in jersey, but it's just not the same. I did however have my first "dirty dog" experience. A bit overrated if you ask me. Enjoyed a great cookie and coder place though.

2. Did not go to Halo Farms. I live that place. Makes me think of being a kid.

Tales from my trip

The weather in jersey has been beautiful. Still in the 80s but not humid so it is tolerable. Sunday we spent most of the day with my sister, just catching up. Then we stayed at the in-laws house.

Monday we met up with my sister and kids at Great Adventures. We stayed there for about 8 hours. Our feet were throbbing but we had a good time.

Thankfully Tuesday is a slow day. We got to sleep in and take it a bit easy. Tonight we have a graduation and dinner afterwards. And then we prepare for our day in the city.

It's been a good trip so far.

Road trip begins

Our road trip has officially started. It is now 5:38 pm. Woo

7:28pm: ok so we stopped for dinner, hoping rain would subside...it did not. So we are driving thru it.

10:21pm: just entering Jacksonville. 17 hours to go. At least it stopped raining.

I always forget how ling this road trip is. It's Saturday almost noon and we have 4 hours to go. (lots of pit stops). I am exhausted.

It is now 9:27 pm and I am finally where I will spend the night. We have been up and down so many highways and Intestates and turnpikes. Now one last important thing before we turn in...real pizza. yum!!!

Road trip

It's 12:22 am. I have just finished packing all I could for our road trip. I'll have to wake up at 6 to make sure I haven't forgotten something.

It is going to be a LONG day at work tomorrow. Then after work, the road trip begins. I am both excited and dreadful. It's gonna be a long road trip...1200 miles.

Off to sleep now.
